The New Centralized identity service API, unlike the BVN portal, is an API that allows institutions to validate different identity services with the flexibility of the institution building their own front end. The BVN portal is a pre- dedicated portal provided by NIBSS for identity validation unlike the API, which does not give institutions the flexibility to determine the UI for the service.
